Time your trip well and witness firsthand the cultural festivals   and experience the myriad of other cultural events other cultural events in the north like dancing and drumming, en-skinments of the community chiefs, marriages, and funerals.

The festivals take place throughout the calendar year. Based on the lunar calendar there is the Fire Festival in the Northern Region most notably in Larabanga and Tamale. Following the Fire Festival is the Damba festival that celebrates a bountiful harvest. In late summer follow the trail of the rabbit hunt as part of the Deng Festival in Sonyo
